2020: No Award. In lieu, a donation to the "All Black Clubs" fund at Rice.We were saddened to cancel the award this year. The pandemic made for few applications, and those, not achievable given the circumstances. We're honored to donate the money instead to the All Black Clubs fund at Rice with a matching donation from one of our employers.
2019: Kseniya Anishchenko - Sid SewsAlong with Kylie Swiekatowski and Taylor Montgomery, the Alzheimer's Buddies group will purchase sewing machines and materials for Sid, teach hand and machine sewing skills, and use these tools to create custom "twiddle blankets" for the senior individuals they work with. They'll increase awareness of Alzheimer's and dementia among Sid students, collaborate with the Granny Committee, and leave working machines for Sid's shared use.

2017: Davoneshia "Missy" Lollis - Organizing the Southwest Mississippi Academic Leadership Conference!Missy, teamed with representatives from other universities, organized the conference to support high school students on their path to college! 2016: Cyrus Ghaznavi - Exploring Japan!Cyrus culminated his 6 weeks of language immersion in Tokyo with an extra week of exploring Japan's dialects, cuisines, and religious sects. よろしくお願いします Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
2015: Connie Do - The Sid Musical Collective!An electric drum and set and amplifier helped transform a Sid basement storage room into a music room where Sidizens can come together to learn, make, share, and enjoy music.
